Kim Kardashian sets Skims Beauty launch for 2027

Kim Kardashian has officially confirmed that Skims Beauty will debut in 2027, representing her third major beauty brand initiative. The confirmation arrived via a September 22 post on X, where she responded to a fan inquiry about the timeline with excitement: “Next year!!!! I can’t wait for you guys to see!”
The upcoming launch builds on earlier signals from Kardashian, who discussed the project during a late 2025 appearance on Alex Cooper’s Call Her Daddy podcast. She described the beauty line as “coming next” and “so fucking major.” To strengthen its development, Skims appointed Diarrha N’Diaye-Mbaye, the founder of Ami Colé, as its Executive VP of Beauty in November 2025. That same month, the company secured additional funding, lifting its valuation to $5 billion.
This is not Kardashian’s first foray into beauty. Her first venture, KKW Beauty, launched in 2017 before being rebranded as SKKN by Kim following a restructuring. The brand ceased operations in anticipation of a relaunch under Skims. A Seamless Sculpt Face Wrap released in 2025 sparked backlash for resembling a character from Silence of the Lambs, while a partnership with Tangle Teezer for colored hairbrushes generated divided feedback among consumers.
Kardashian has also subtly promoted the new line through her fashion collaborations. In June 2026, her partnership with artist Aurel Schmidt included designs featuring lipstick tubes, makeup brushes, and concealer—visual cues that mirrored her previous KKW Beauty products but under the Skims branding. A TikTok video by influencer Glamzilla highlighted how certain prints, such as the hoodie colorway “Snow In My Bag,” echoed earlier beauty releases.
The beauty division’s launch follows a strategic consolidation of Kardashian’s business operations. In March, Skims acquired Coty’s 20% stake in SKKN by Kim, along with her own 80% ownership, unifying her clothing, cosmetics, skincare, and fragrance ventures under a single brand.
The 2027 timeline reflects the deliberate expansion of Skims beyond its core shapewear business. While the brand is widely recognized for undergarments, its beauty division represents a long-awaited extension of its product line. Success will hinge on how it distinguishes itself in a competitive industry, particularly given past challenges with consumer reception and market positioning.
